About Cambridge Valley Livestock Market
Franklin Mclenithan and Margaret Mclenithan bought an old farm previously owned by the Kerr’s. They began to build additions for more space. And were able to have their first auction on April 4th, 1944.

Franklin began his career in auction service at Argyle Livestock Market owned by Fred Miller. Which was where he learned to auctioneer. When Franklin realized how many animals were being moved from Vermont and Cambridge, he realized there needed to be a closer market. Animals sold in the beginning were calves, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, and horses. Today the animals sold have slightly changed but we continue Franklin's successful business today!
